Summer Program


Lower and Middle School Summer Program

The Summer Program at Centreville Layton School combines academic skills improvement with recreational activities. Half-day and full-day programs are available with an academic focus in the morning and recreational activities in the afternoon. The five week program is offered to all students ages 3-14.

The morning academics portion of the program emphasizes reading, writing, 10534671_10152168152635764_5272269748138482591_nand math, as well as theme-related activities. Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy are also available as needed in small-group sessions. Centreville Layton School prides itself on small class sizes so each child receives the attention he or she deserves.

The fun-filled afternoon is optional for students at our Summer Program. The afternoon consists of recreational activities, swimming, and weekly field trips.

Upper School Summer Program

We offer a dynamic upper school academic summer program to address a wide variety of academic needs. Students work one-on-one with tutors on reading, writing, or math skills.  Difficulties are remediated and strengths are enhanced.  Parents can choose from reading/writing, math, or even SAT preparation.

Centreville Layton’s upper school Summer Program has 3 parts:


One hour of private tutoring in either:

  • IMG_1503Reading/Writing using the Orton-Gillingham approach
  • Math (from pre-algebra to calculus)
  • SAT Prep


  • One hour of structured study hall
  • All homework is done during summer school

Part 3. ART

  • One hour of art
  • Fun art activities in a group setting
